The Food and Drug Administration is requiring companies that register their cosmetic facilities with the Voluntary Cosemtic Voluntary Program (VCRP) to obtain a DUNS number.
The DUNS Number (Data Universal Numbering System) is a 9-digit number provided by Dun and Bradstreet. This DUNS number is used to identify each physical address a company has.
This DUNS number does not replace your FDA Registration number it is put in place to identify that your facility that manufacters, packs, stores and labels drug products is legitimate. All facilties are required to have a DUNS number .
